I haven't written anything here for some time... but the past two days has been so incredible that I just have to re-start now!
Yesterday Mike and I flew to San Diego. At PDX we enjoyed some Mo's clam chowder, and then we climbed onto our 737... complete with Amazon Audible and a new download of The Martian. Aside from the language, it is quite an exciting book! We landed in Sacramento, and then continued on to San Diego. We picked up a Kia Soul for our rental- my contacts were all downloaded onto the car's brain- so I am totally freaked out over that... but, then we arrived at our Hotel. It is the Town and Country Resort... it is SO nice!! Our room is on the 10th floor and overlooks San Diego- it is beautiul! The room has a balcony as well, which I love!
Last night we went to the San Diego Temple. Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful. It was such a lovely session. I am so blessed to have such a good sweetie who loves me so very much. The Celestial Room there is so incredible. We were just in awe.
When we got back to the hotel I received a text from Mormon Newsroom- there was an open house scheduled for the Tijuana Temple starting this Friday! I was SO sad!!! Come on- the day I leave!?!?! Well, we decided to go there anyway-(before we left we ate at the WAFFLE STOP. Okay. Whoa. It was SOOO GOOD!!! We got a pecan waffle and fried chicken... !!) so we drove down to the border, then walked the huge walk through Mexico's customs, and BOOM we were in another country- just like that! We got a taxi and told them to take us to the Mormon Temple- turns out our cabbie was LDS!! We got there, and holy moly it was VIP day!!! There were government people (complete with 5 big grey SUVs and local religious leaders- and photographers!) Well, we were given a tour by a general authority! He was a Seventy in the Fourth Quorum of the Seventy! He was so nice and reminded me of David Kelly- the Temple was SO beautiful. I am again and again amazed and blessed with how peaceful and wonderful I feel at the Temple. The Spirit is real. The Gospel is true. Jesus Christ lived and died for us, so we can live again- and live forever. I love Him, and I love my family. It was all just so fantastic.
We walked for a while- and checked out the Wal-Mart in Tijuana. They sell EVERYTHING. Seriously. Then we got a cab to take us back to the border. We waited a long time- and bought a churro--- it was YUMMY! It seemed to take FOREVER to get back across, but then with a welcome back we walked back on to US soil... looked totally the same.
We headed straight to Old Town where we had dinner at Miguel's with Keith's daughter, Kara. SO GOOD!! Then we went to the Mormon Batallion historic site.
I mean, today was SO VERY GREAT.
I feel so very blessed.
This Family I Love
As a little girl I dreamed of marrying my handsome prince and being a mom. I love that I was blessed to live my very own "happily ever after." I am living my dream. This Family I Love will give me the chance to record some of the things I hope to always remember as kids grow and memories fade...

it has all been done before
10 ¶For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me.
11 ¶Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know.
Isaiah 47:10-11

Quiet House
I set the table for dinner tonight- I got out four plates and four glasses.
Jaela brought it to my attention...
We only have three at home :)
It is pretty weird to be down to three.
Just another reminder of how much I love our family.
